Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

Hi,
I'm thinking of installing XAMP on my PC but I'm not sure if my hard disk has enough space. There's 21GB left : does anyone know if that's enough? I suspect I only need the smallest installation because all I want to do at this stage is learn php.
Cheers,

That's definitely enough; XAMPP is about 500 MB of memory on my computer, and that's including all of my files inside, which take up about 150 MB of memory.

Thank you!
I have successfully installed XAMPP and it is something like 274Mb without any new files added.
I'm still finding my feet in what is a very new area for me and I'm having a bit of trouble viewing webpages of my own. If I can't sort it out soon I'll join the thread entitled "Cannot view Webpages" which has already been useful.
Thanks again,

You must create your pages in xampp\htdocs\FILENAME.php. Then, to view the file, you go to
http://localhost/FILENAME.php (make sure you have Apache running).

Hi, MC10,
I followed your instructions and my "Hello, world" script worked well.
Many Thanks!
