New to Xampp. For the time being I just want to study php. I want to install everything (particularly Lite) onto a flash drive.
Can I download everything onto it and work from there or will I need
any ties with the C: drive?

- Download the zip-Version,
- unzip it on your flash drive (root directory)
- execute the setup_xampp.bat
- start Apache, MySQL, etc.

If your Drive is portable, you can't locate your XAMPP absolutely (Drive Letters can change), so you can't use Windows Services with it.
