Apache Friends Support Forum

We need XAMPP for a project and installed it on windows server. It seemed to install correctly but Apache will not run and http://localhost does not work. We thought maybe Skype was interfering so we unchecked port 80 from Skype but it is still not working. We also changed the port anyway and it still did not run. Does anyone know whats wrong? Really need this working for a project

hi i have the same prob as above i tried oppening the ports as well but its not working ...

yay ... i found the solution for me it was skype...
turned it off and now it works fine...
one small query though is there some way that i dont have to cllose skype and still get it to work..
