Apache Endless "Waiting for localhost..." problem

Are you using XDebug? If so TURN IT OFF!!!!

If you want to debug using XDebug using NetBeans (or some other app) create a backup copy of your php.ini file WITH the XDebug info included. Rename the backup file to something other than "php.ini".

For the other copy that's called "php.ini" remove the XDebug directives and save that file. Restart Apache.
