MySQL does not start

I recently installed xampp and was very pleased with the install process. It seems everything installed correctly however I am unable to get MySQL to start up.

I am running windows 7 64bit. When I click start from the control panel, windows UAC launches and asks if I want to allow XAMPP: control services from shell to make changes to my computer. I click yes but MySQL does not start up.

When I view the xampp status web page, it shows MySQL is deactivated.

I do not see MySQL as an option under "All Programs".

What do I need to change to get MySQL to start up from the control panel?

Ok, I fixed this problem by unchecking the Svc check box in the modules column of the Control panel, then starting the Mysql database.

Control panel shows that MySQL is activated and was able to view phpMyAdmin interface. So far it looks like it is working though I will need to test a real database to be sure.
