Problem with starting Apache

When I click on start I first see Busy.... and then Apache started and I see Running next to Apache.

But when I go to http://localhost/ or when I wait a few secs, it stops running, makes me unable to view http://localhost/

I have windows vista.

What can I do to solve this problem?

Read the \xampp\apache\logs\error.log file for clues why Apache can't start.
