But ... on my office,
Apache doesn't start :

What Windows OS are you using?

How exactly did you do this?

BTW when you install XAMPP it is best practice to avoid installing to folders with spaces in their name - install to the root of a drive or partition like C:\ or F:\ for example so after installing you get C:\xampp by default and again this is explained in the installation instructions on the XAMPP For Windows Home Page and in the \xampp\readme_en.txt file.

See the XAMPP Home Page notes at the top of the page and the installation instruction.

I work on windows XP , Apache and Mysql not in services , but with start_xampp.exe
xampp 1.7.1 to xampp 1.7.3,
i know the differences between 1.7.1 and 1.7.2
where the two process apache are switch by two process httpd
and the security policy as changed
and have made many installs xampp 1.7.2
yesterday, i installed 1.7.3 on my home, no problem
but today, the same install was failed with the message on my previous topic

Perhaps the link that you have given to me is going to help me ....

Thank's

Code: Select all
Syntax error on line 122 of C:/Documents.../extra/httpd-xampp.conf:

What this ? I don't understand !

There's an error in line 122 in the file "httpd-xampp.conf".
