Apache Friends Support Forum

XAMPP/localhost was working fine, my path and all the configuration is the same since i had installed it. So today i tried accessing 'http://localhost' and 'localhost' neither work, i tried in both firefox 3, internet explorer, and google chrome.

Neither respond and give an error:

"Unable to connect
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost."

I don't understand since my internet connection is working, i can access all other live sites and not my localhost, even though i didnt change anything.

I checked the XAMPP control panel and the status is OK.

Im running: XAMPP for windows
OS: Windows Vista

Any help is apreciated :/

Is Apache and MySQL showing a green running indication?

Can you access by typing http://127.0.0.1 in your browsers?

Are you logged in to Vista as an Administrator.

Have you disabled UAC?

Apache and Mysql were disabled for some reason, yesterday their were enabled, which is strange so i had to renable them and it worked.
