ok, where to start, i am actually blonde...when it comes to installing things
i want to ask someone who could have actually done it before, if there is any point in even trying tho install XAMPP for my system?
And how hard it might get in the process?

I've gotten XAMPP to work on Vista64 by just extracting the files in a directory in the Program Files (x86) folder. There may be some UAC issues, but you can easily work through those.
