Windows Server 2008, 64bit and XAMPP 1.7.2

can you guys provide a bit of advice
1) is the standard full install off the web site for XAMPP 1.7.2 the right one for my 64 bit server 2008?
ie do i need to get 64 bit versions of mysql or apache to make it run better and make use of the server?
2) i have 6 gig of ram, is there any setting you would recommend that would make it run better / faster ?
eg ram limits on any of the ini files
