Hi there,
i am new to XAMPP. i install it but i am having some problems .when i start apache and mysql in control panel apache doesnot show "Running" in green but mysql does shows that. and also when i type localhost in browser it shows iis window. how can i fix these problem.

Stop IIS if you don't want use it.

Sorry, I don't use IIS. But IMHO you can do this in the IIS manger.

(Maybe want look into the windows help, or search the Microsoft knowledge base/technet for your IIS version. They have all manuals online.)

So assuming latest stable XAMPP version and Vista OS.


IMHO, disable IIS completely and here is a link that may help you do that in Vista:
