Missing PHP Functions chdir() money_format() ...

Started to use xampp so I could experiment with local joomla & drupal sites whilst offline..

Thought I would see if my (working linux served) website would work locally with Xampp. Works ok on initial pages until php really gets to work.
Sadly I come across non-existant functions which would appear to be standard in PHP5

The first functions I find not supported are:
chdir()
money_format()

Any thoughts or comments?
