MySQL Port change

Hello,

A few years ago one of our serves got hit with a SQL attack ...
It wiped out over 5000 tracks of music and also our server software for our station. I had someone come in and work on the server and during that time I had them change the MySQL port from 3306 to a different number. For the past 10 years no attacks and all is well. I am upgrading one of our servers with the station broadcast software on it and I would like to change the port again. Can someone help me with this since I do not know where to find the file to change in XAMPP? I thought it would be an .ini or.cnf file but I could not find one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Missing support info - what XAMPP version and which Windows OS?
So assuming latest stable XAMPP version.

In \xampp\mysql\bin folder find my.ini file, edit using a text editor, save the file and restart MySQL.

It's not like me to place a half ^rsed post up on a forum. I have the latest version of XAMPP and Mickey Soft XP Pro service pack 3.
And also double for my stupidity not seeing the my.ini. . I'm batting 100 here...

Hi Izzy,

All set... I got the station's software connecting to the database now with the new port. I had a problem with phpMyAdmin, but I figured it out. I just had to make a couple extra changes.
