MySQL database deactivated after changing password.

Problems with the Windows version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

MySQL database deactivated after changing password.

Postby Sinbad » 26. November 2009 19:01

Hey all.

I've looked at similar topics but cant find a solution. I have reinstalled XAMPP (again) which shows everything is running and activated. As soon as I add password protection the MySQL database is showing as deactivated even though the process is still running in the control plugin.

I'm using Windows 7 with XAMPP 1.7.2.

I'm new to this stuff so please keep answers noobified :)

Many thanks.

You may have added a password for user pma and in the search results mentioned in this post there is a solution:
