My xampp apache install of wordpress and bbpress doesnt send emails to my users that sign up or join on the forums or the website i really need help now because xampp is the backbone of my system and i rely on it alot

can anyone help me?

You will have to do some configuration edits to send email.

Do an Advanced search in forum XAMPP for Windows using sendmail as the keyword.

You should see many results that will give you most of the info you need to configure your mail sending.

I installed xampp as a test server on my windows vista home basic and it was like that for about a year. then i went and hosted my website http://strangebutfunny.ath.cx on it and then when someone signs up or comments i get no email or comment notifications or anything including there confirmation emails and post replys do i have to configure php or the mercury server?

The script that sends mail from your web site.

I don't know anything about your web site or how you are trying to send email or what script or admin configurations you have configured to send mail from your web site.

All the answers you need to configure XAMPP to send email are in the sendmail search results, had you searched.

Then either the WordPress and/or the BBPress support forums may be able to help you set them up for sending email or even their documentation may be able to help.
