Xampp & Win7 64 bits

Reading details from Xampp package I see that it's distributed for a lot of Windows but not for Windows 7. My laptop runs with Windows 7 (64 bits), is there a version of Xampp that I can use and works perfectly with my laptop (including all the components)?

Thanks for your help

I'm using this combo... can't remember what I'm using though :/

###### Apache Friends XAMPP Lite (Basis Package) version 1.7.2 ######

says not tested for x64 but it works fine :)

Others on the forums have had success installing the XAMPP 1.7.2 Full version on your OS, if your not one for lite versions.

From the XAMPP for Windows Home Page:

XAMPP Lite
"XAMPP Lite" is an additional extra small XAMPP edition. It's the successor of the old MiniXAMPP.
But in contrast to the big XAMPP it's not updated really as often.

I use Win 7 x64 and I got the full version. I'm really new at all this but even I managed it, just a simple install, run the services from the Xampp control panel and forward the port and everything worked for me :)

I have installed it and it worked perfectly until I changed password for phpmyadmin. Since then, I cannot access phpmyadmin nor to change password or not using it.

Hi,

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits and run xampp lite 1.7.2 fine...

But I can't to stop Mysql or Apache.

It's horrible... i'm created a lot of VirtualHosts in httpd.conf and can't restart apache to make this changes ok.
