Apache Friends Support Forum

Hi,

I just installed xampp and have only configured passwords so far and have set it so it listens on my IP in \xampp\apache\conf\httpd.conf
And I started the Apache and MySQL services.

My question: Is my webserver at this point already viewable for others over the Internet?
Or must I do some other things before people can actually see my webpage etc. it's not really clear to me..

Edit: Hmm sorry for posting this in the German section, didn't quite notice that. I guess because I can read it.

Hard to say without you provide the IP so I can be checked it from the Internet for you.

Which IP did you use in the httpd.conf file, your LAN or your WAN IP (ISP)?

You have placed your web site in the htdocs folder?

As you can see it has been moved anyway but you could have deleted your topic and then posted it again in the correct forum.
