Apache Friends Support Forum

I installed xampp in my windows xp pro pc and few secs after I initiate the MySql service it terminates (as seen in XCP). But in the windows task manager MySql service seems active (mysqld-nt.exe).
xampp-portcheck also indicates that the service is running. Why does XCP shows that the service is not yet started.

What seems to be the issue here?
