virtual hosts and no-ip.org

I understand the documentation for virtual hosts, but it only works if typing on my local machine.

What I would like to do is set up virtual hosts so that when I access my machine from the net at domain.no-ip.org/client1 and domain.no-ip.org/client2 it works and I can use relative paths.

Currently this works without virtual hosts, but I can't use relative paths unless I go all the way back to htdocs... which really stinks when migrating the clients site to their live server. Essentially I'd like to develop locally, have the site viewable on the net so the client can approve it and maintain multiple sites like this.

What is the best way to achieve this using virtual hosts?
