Setting up Intranet and Cannot Send Email

Hi all,

I am newbie to php,mysql and xampp as such. I am trying to create a intranet website. I am unable to send emails from my site(to recovery password) and i do not want to alter my ISP providers SMTP as given in the following link

Is there any other way or technique to get this working or any other technique to recover password without having to send emails.
