Where is the PRIVILEGE option in phpadmin?

Postby lphan » 14. September 2009 00:16

Hi,
This is my first time installing the XAMPP on my computer through local host.
And I login phpadmin with the root username. I want to add a new user name to use the phphadmin.
But I do not see the privileges option.

I see the following error on the screen

Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed.

Please help

thanks

An Advanced forum search for your error message Connection for controluser as defined in your configuration failed in the XAMPP for Windows forum would have been a quicker method of finding the solution, which BTW, has had many posts and responses of late.

In the search results click on the Topic title to expand the whole post of any that attract your interest.

Hi,

I found the problem.

The XAMPP must be installed on drive C:\ for all connections to work.

Previously, I installed on drive D:\ and I can not see the PRIVILEGE option.
When I switched to drive C:\, everything is there.

Thanks
