Xampp- can we use as a FTP server?
If so can anyone guide me or give me some link?

Maybe that's the reason, FileZilla FTP server is listed in the package content?

If you have installed XAMPP, you already have a FTP server (see my post above). It's name is FileZilla. Just start it.

If you want install another FTP server, you must read the install manual (we also can't know how to install any other FTP server without reading the manual)

From control panel I can start apache, MySQL. But when I click fileZila I am getting error.
ERRPR: FileZila FTP must be run as Service

So you have to install the FileZilla service.
(imho there is a batchfile to do this)

I don't have a XAMPP 1.7.1 at the moment. Just look for batchfiles which starts with "filezilla_*.bat". One of them is for installing the FileZilla service.

1: Go to your Xampp folder.
2: open/click "xampp-control.exe"
3: click the cheackBox where it says FileZilla, (it must be checked/Tick)
it will ask you to install FileZilla as service, Click OK.
4: Click "Start" Button of FileZilla to run this.
This time it will run., Hope this helps.

This only works as of XAMPP 1.7.2. (and you also must not install FileZilla as service with 1.7.2)
