Apache Friends Support Forum

Hi,

I am completely new to this, this is the first time I have ever tried to run a web server.

Basically I am stuck on the first step, I have extracted XAMPP onto my iPod and run the setup, and started the control panel. When I start Apache, it says "Running", when I start MySQL, "Running" flashes, and then the MySQL stops. I have tried to solve this on several computers and on several iPods (I don't have any spare flash drives lying about).

I'm thinking that this is a really simple problem to fix, but can someone please lend the new guy a hand?

Any ideas at all as to what is going on??

When I extract XAMPP to my hard disk, Apache and MySQL both run perfectly, however MySQLwill not run when XAMPP is extracted to iPod.
