Connecting from a PC on the LAN

I am new to this forum. I have recently installed the latest version of XAMPP on Vista Ultimate 32bit. Everything runs smoothley accept when I try to access my server from another PC on my home LAN, it doesn't work. I have tried from multiple PC's on the LAN and I just get a page not found error, from both IE and firefox. has anyone else had this issue before?
