saving and running sql scripts from phpMyAdmin

In phpMyAdmin, I would like to write, save and execute SQL files. However on the SQL tab for a database there is no place to browse to load a SQL file. I've searched for ways to load a SQL text file, but the response indicates that there is a "browse" button on the SQL page for this. I'm running the latest XAMPP downlaod - 1.7.2.
