Downloaded XXAMP and cannot access http://localhost/joomla15

Newbie here,

I downloaded the 48 page installation instruction and succesfully installed the XXAMP software (no problems). Now i'm ready to install the joomala software which has been saved as instructed to do so. When I type in http://localhsot/joomla15. all I get is a white screen............ with the following........
