Guy's i am newbie in XAMPP. I installed the XAMPP in windows xp there is no error in installation but when i tried to start apache it doesn't work either in xampp control panel or in windows service manager. below is the error can you help me about this.

Forget XAMPP

Best you can do uninstall it quickly. Just another one of this hopeless arrogant software blacksmith who throws something at the community and then you need to beg to get his crap going!

Just read other posts in this MAZE forum and you will understand

Look for something other then XAMPP unless you have enough time to help the Germans

Not sure I quite agree, or understand your logic. BUT, what I would suggest doing before we start bashing utilities here, would be to remove the entire Xampp folder. Redownload Xampp. I suggest Xampp full, but lite works just as well. Be sure you run "setup_xampp.bat" after you have extracted the folder. Be sure to make sure your server ports are open on 80. If not, you may change the port via httpd.conf file. You can use http://www.canyouseeme.org/ to check your ports.

Enjoy! Don't listen to every one who has their critiques.
