my webaddress is not working

I have registered a domain,and made change in DNS;
NS1 http://www.myaddress.com
NS2 http://www.myaddress.com

Running OS vista, XAMPP.
And made changes in httpd
Listen*: 80
ServerName www.myaddress.com:80

BUT my address is not working, BUT when I type ip address it working.
Please tell me where I am making a mistake.

1. You do not have a Domain Name Server at the myaddress.com Apache server (bind etc.) and so you will need to have the domain's Zone File hosted at a free service like https://www.zoneedit.com/
After configuring your zone file you then need to apply the nameservers NS1 and NS2 that ZoneEdit supply you with at your domain registrar much like you did with myaddress.com above.


2. No need to change anything in your httpd.conf file from the defaults, as indicated by the IP working - whats missing is a DNS that points your domain name to your IP that the XAMPP server is running on - that's where ZoneEdit comes in.
