If I have password secured all my folders and mysql access and not started the filezilla services (well I followed this: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html#1221), can I use the installation of XAMPP as a good service for a webpage?

This webpage will be visited by about 50 MAX users at the same time.
Their is 3 mediawiki installation and one webpage displaying the status of our servers.

Is there any configuration to be done to apache to optimize production use? Or it is fine like that?

Thank you

Ad Mod_security to Your installation.
This will not optimize but can help You on securing apache on Windows :)

First of all, thank you for the reply.

Second, may I ask where exactly I can add this within my apache configuration? Do I add it in http.conf? where?

Thank you!
