my php site is ready to use ..but i dont know how to go online

how to change localhost to http://www.whatever.com

Assign your public IP of your computer to www.whatever.com (ask any provider in order to do that).

If you dont have a static IP, visit www.dyndns.com and go for a Dynamic DNS Service.

If you have a router which connects to the internet, you must also configure a portforwarding of TCP Port 80 to the Xampp PC.

Then it is better NOT to use XAMPP as an online server. Search the internet for an Hosting provider in your country and get an account there. Then load your Website up to the server.
