Hey all

me noob, ug.

Have installed recent xampp on XP, to find that I cant get my htaccess files to operate correctly.

I have check ed that the module is enabled in the config file, and the thing further down that should be set to "ALL" is (sorry am in web cafe so dont have exactly to hand)

htaccess is working fine on website currently on line, downloaded it to run local and getting error (400 or 500 not sure. should have checked before left house, brain dead today!)

Have tested with simpler setup: ie just a redirect from a.html to b.html still nada.

have I forgotten something? checked documentation and only mentioned the 2 items I already double checked as above... is there something further. I did a quick search on this in forums but nothing related showed. sorry if im just being dense!

The usage of ".htaccess" files is enabled in XAMPP.

(400 or 500 not sure. should have checked before left house, brain dead today!)

Without:
- the correct error message
- the error.log entry
- the .htaccess file
nobody can help you.

have I forgotten something?
