BLANK PAGE @ Localhost ??

Win XP Pro (3)
Xampp is running properly. I get a blank page when I type localhost into my
browser.
I ran ipconfig at the command prompt and it listed my ip address as 192.xxx.x.3.
Then I entered my ip address into my browser (Mozilla FireFox) and up came the Xampp
page. We both know that localhost is 127.0.0.1. So, what is going on I asked myself ? I am
connected to someone else internet service provider through a router appears to be the problem.
