Running Serv-U and XAMPP

Postby phiyuku » 01. June 2009 21:28

I have looked through the settings on Serv-U and there is an option to set up virtual hosts. I set up my Serv-U server at say serv-u.example.com. I then have my regular website set up at abc.example.com. Is it possible to run both Serv-U and XAMPP together. As of now I am using XAMPP to point serv-u.example.com to a redirect page which points to serv-u.example.com:81 which I set up Serv-U HTTP to listen to. This works fine but at some areas they block every port besides Port 80. So to solve this I was figuring to somehow run both of them on port 80. So I am wondering if it's possible to have Apache and Serv-U to both listen to port 80 and see the domain name and do what it needs to do for this to work.

BTW I know FTP uses port 21 but Serv-U also sets up a website on port 80 where you can use a Web Client to access the FTP server.
