Hello,

is there a way to update from xampp 1.7.0 to 1.7.1 without a freash reinstallation?

If not what is the correct procedure to switch off from the old release to the new one please?
I have windows vista business installed.

There is an Upgrade Package 1.7.1 on the XAMPP for Windows Home Page:

Hello,

thank you. All right now. :-)

The point is that when I go to the security tab of the Xampp home page (http://localhost) I get an "access denied (403)" error message!
I would to see instead the page with the settings there.

How may I fix it please?

Bye.

Open in your text editor (Notepad for example) xampp\apache\conf\extra\httpd-xampp.conf file.

Look for 2 instance of Allow from localhost and change them to Allow from 127.0.0.1

Save the file and restart Apache.

Empty your browser's cache (delete Temporary Internet Files in IE) and do it often when working at localhost level.

Now try again to access the security page and remember that the security pages may take a while to load.
