My xampp installation 1.7.1 does not seem to work. http://localhost returns not found error.
Xampp Control panel shows both mysql & apache service running fine.
I'am on windows xp. Frustrated since past 2 weeks to find a solution to this. Can Any one provide a solution will be appreciated!

Have you looked at your firewall and/or your anti-virus scanner configuration?
Temporarily disable and test again.
