XAMPP apache start

Postby bulbapeppe » 02. May 2009 10:53

DEar all,

I've installed XAMPP. All seems to be fine. WHen I start Apache from the XAMPP GUI, it appears to be running (the green box with written "Running"appear) but after 3-4 seconds it disappears. This does not appen with mysql. When I access to
http:77localhost I get a white page.
What's wrong? Is there another apache running? Sould I have some prerequisites to repsect?
p.s.: Ive windows XPservice pack 2

Thank you all

Try starting Apache using the apache_start.bat file in the xampp folder as it will tell you why it can't start.

Run xampp-portcheck.exe in the xampp folder to see what is using the ports and disable what ever is using the ports XAMPP requires.

BTW if you want to copy and paste the contents of a console window simply click on the little icon in the top left of the console window and select the Edit item in the menu.
