Msterious redirect to XAMPP welcome page

Dear folks,

I am encountering a peculiar problem. I have hosted a website on Joomla 1.5 in my local directory.
Clicking anywhere on the website redirects me to XAMPP 1.7.0 welcome screen.

I have deleted the index.htm file from the htdocs folder. Should I do anything different to make
by website work? Pls help.

What is this local directory you mention?

Open the xampp\htdocs\index.php in your text editor and see what the code tells you.

I have deleted the index.htm file from the htdocs folder.

The index.html does not redirect but the original XAMPP index.php redirects to the XAMPP Welcome Page - so either rename or delete the original XAMPP index.php file...

...then to go to the XAMPP Welcome Page you would type http://localhost/xampp/index.php
