Default ports

Postby DavidIQ » 24. April 2009 15:49

I've just started using XAMPP on my flash drive for portable development and am happy with the results. However there is one thing that's bothering me. Even though I've changed httpd.conf to listen on port 88 whenever I click on any of the "Admin..." buttons in the XAMPP Control Panel Application the browser opens up on localhost instead of localhost:88. When I start Apache the listbox says that Apache started on port 80 even though it's set to 88. I've looked through the readme and through various files in my xampplite directory and have found nothing to change this.

Am I missing something obvious? Everything works fine but this is a bit of a nuisance.

The control panel does not read the httpd.conf and is using the hardcoded port 80.

Bummer. That should be configurable IMO ;) I'll just take a look at the source code and change it from there. Thanks anyways.

Looks like I'll be adding the port to the URL whenever it's opened...

Which means the source is not available for download.
