(Solved) Newbee question about FTP host

Postby viktoria » 19. April 2009 15:30

Hi

I have used xampp to do test my sites, and then transfered them to a live server.
What I have not done so far, Is to use a FTP client to transfer the files to my localhost (xampp) Only copied files to the folder I am using..
Now I am setting up a site in Dreamweaver, and need to set up a proper FTP path to my localhost.
So the question is: What is the path I use?

My FTP software is WS FTP professional, and I also have to set up the path there.

This is no probl. when I am on a live server, since I know the ftp.mysetename.myhost and the public_html folder, but on xampp
I only know the xampp, mysitename, and the htdocs folder, but I do not know how to link this to a path to use for DW and WS

Hope this is an easy answered one.. 8)

Bye Vik
