I have disabled UAC, adjusted hosts file, cleaned the browser cache as a simple search of the forum suggested.
Both Apache & MySQL are running according to SCM, but whenever I direct firefox to http://127.0.0.1/ i get
Connection Interrupted
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.
errors.
When I click Admin for apache from the control pannel, it tries to load http://www.localhost.com with the same error resulting.
My firewall is set to interactive and when the requests have popped up I have allowed them, so I can't quite figureout why I can't use xampp.
Any ideas? As I used to find xampp incredibly useful and want to start using it again.
