xampp on win vista ultimate 64 bit problem

I`ve installed xampp-win32-1.7.0-installer (basic package)
I`ve opened xampp control panel and start the apache and mysql , but when i pressed on apache the admine buton "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" ...
So what i`m tryng to say , is that i need help to make my site to work with xampp on vista ultimate 64x ...
Please guide me

Is Apache running?

You need to have UAC turned off and be logged in as an administrator to run a web server on Vista.

If Apache is not running then find out why by running apache_start.bat file which will give the reason it can't start.

i`ve uninstal and instal again the xampp with service apache and mysql , and it give`s me this erorr

Disable IIS (Internet Information Service) the Windows web server in the Windows Control Panel.

Also Skype uses those ports 80 and 443 so change the ports that Skype uses in the Configuration settings if you use Skype.

i don`t have skype and IIS is disabled , is there a way to change the apache port?

If you disabled IIS and you don't have Skype then something else is using those ports and you need to find out what.

When you uninstalled XAMPP did you make sure that all the XAMPP components were stopped and any components running as services uninstalled before deleting the xampp folder ready for a fresh install?

Run xampp-portcheck.exe and find out what is using those ports.

i have installed this programes before xampp : utorrent , nod32 , strongdc , yahoo messenger ... Can be one of them?

Reboot your PC then test the ports again.

BTW if you are trying to install XAMPP and getting the ports 80 and 443 in use how can you still have an xampp folder with the xampp-portcheck.exe file if the install failed?

I`ve found the problem ... I uninstaled the nod32 (he used the port 80) and reboot the pc , now the admin button works
