Mysql admin problem

Postby jdog » 28. February 2009 01:25

I know not to use the mysql admin function. I discovered this through search efforts, but since I can't find a solution to this problem, I am posting here....

My machine, when restarted, starts the mysql admin section of xammp, I suppose when the program is first loaded. I click the "shut down this tool" option, and it goes away.

But I don't want to mess with this every time I start up. This is obviously a malfunction somewhere. Suggestions? I changed my password when I was setting up an oscommerce platform. Could that be the reason for this thing? How do I change it back to "root" with no password to see if that fixes it? What if that doesn't fix it? What other options do I have?
