Apache Friends Support Forum

I downloaded the ZIP file for upgrading, applied the new files but unfortunately it refused to start APACHE or MySQL. I followed the instructions, SETUP_XAMPP.bat failed with the following error...

Exact message: Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in C:\xampp\install\upgrade.php on line 3

Any ideas??

Did you read the blurb about upgrades to 1.7.0.0? on the apache friends.org download page? NOt Advised.
