My Sql won't run on the control pannel

windows error reports and tell me:

mysqld.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

how can this be resolved

I have the same problem... can any one help us out ?

I've faced the same problem: i had version 1.6.6 and Iwanted to upgrade to 1.7.0 so uninstall and install but mysql gets this problem.

..so nothing to do, try to solve the problem with the sc console (from dos prompt) to investigate service mysql...nothing!

then I reinstall all via zip file, and It goes perfectly: pay attention to the file my.ini in windows dir, delete it before install.
