Apache Friends Support Forum

I am the admin of a forum and I want to be able run my VBulletin on my computer, so I can play around with layouts etc without upsetting the online version.

I have Xampp 1.7

I have a backup of all my VBulletin files and a backup of the SQL database.

I can import the database successfully through myphpadmin and I copied the forum files into the htdocs folder.

but when I try to load the forum in my browser it just sits there and does nothing.

I know I probably only missing something simple and im sure this can be done, if anyone has any ideas that would be appreciated.

Maybe you must change some settings in a VBulletin configuration file.

But a VBulletin (support) forum should be the better place for this question.
