Xampp Server | Port forwarding | NetGear Router

1. I need to access my server remotely. Placed an exception in Windows' firewall on port 80.
2. Shouldn't it be my static IP address & port 80?
3. Ex) x.x.x.x:80

Can you tell me what you see when you go to http://localhost on the PCs that have XAMPP installed?

Can you run all the demos in the menu without any errors?

I got rid of the menu because the php pages were not viewable any other way. Ironic.

That does not make any sense.

Your image does not show all files and folders remaining in the .\xampp\htdocs folder - is the xampp folder still in the htdocs folder?

Can you tell me what you see when you go to http://localhost/xampp on the PCs that have XAMPP installed?

Can you run all the demos in the menu without any errors?

1. Oddly true. That's the only way I can "click & view" PHP pages without seeing the source code.

2. Nonetheless, I'll work on that php issue later. I've upgraded to the latest installer and the demos work:

3. How about Vista's UAC, conflicting?

1. Still does not make any sense because you cant simply click and view a php file without it is parsed by the apache server via an http:// address in a browser.

2. Then there is nothing wrong with your XAMPP installation.

3. UAC should be disabled to do any sort of admin on your web server.

4. You network issues are not XAMPP related and so use either Google and/or your router's web site not these forums.
These from a Google:
