MySQL error on trying to remove XAMPP

Postby trixterjim » 28. January 2009 05:20

I am trying to remove XAMPP to do a re-install, and when I try to delete the folder and remove it, I get the following error:

cannot delet libmysql.dll: access denied.

Ive ran all the .bat files in the order that Ive read in other posts, and still am unable to remove the XAMPP folder

Im running on windows XP and not Vista.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Try from the Task Bar
start>Run...> type sc delete mysql>OK

Try again to remove the folder.

IF that fails then reboot and try again.
