PHP CLI hangs with MYSQLI extension on Windows 7 Beta

Postby micheldumontier » 14. January 2009 19:53

Executing the CLI php.exe on Windows 7 beta when including
php_mysqli.dll(by itself or with others) in the windows config file
for php 5.2.8 causes it to hang. It seems to hang after successfully executing any script,
whether they include mysqli commands or not.

I installed the XAMPP 1.7 package. Note that mysqli works fine with apache httpd.

...and you informed the Windows 7 beta team of this issue as requested and a caveat for using this beta testing version?

wait, are you saying it hangs once a PHP page is loaded?
and an off topic question if its ok is, why are you using Windows 7 Beta?

As you may know or may not know, Windows 7 was made available on the MS website to anyone who cared to download it and test it out, but for a limited time only, or when a certain number of downloads were reached - which BTW crashed the MS servers on the first day until MS strengthened their servers.
