Can I delete xampp in /htdocs/ after setup?

I'm curious if there's any important or server-dependent files in any of the sub folders located in the htdocs directory?

After I've setup the security and all that stuff in the xampp page, can I remove the subdirectories from my /htdocs/ folder including the xampp one?

I moved it as a test and everything seems to work fine, but I don't know what all the dependencies are with the server, so I want to make sure I'm not messing up by getting rid of it.
