i installed xampp, everything went smoothly, and i started all the programs apache, mysql, ftp, mercury. But when i click on MySQL's admin in the xampp control panel i get the following error:

as you mite notice, i downloaded and installed mysql connector odbc driver, which seems to have done something but obviously not fix the problem, thank you for any help in advance.

Don't use the programm "WinMySQLAdmin" (and the MySQL admin button in the control panel.)

it doesn't say anywhere "winmysql" im just using what is in xampp, which is mysql, and if i don't use the admin button in xampp control panel how else can i start it?

Start what?
--> For the MySQL server there is a start/stop button in the control panel.
